Experience Māori arts in action through a two-day wānanga that brings together traditional practice and contemporary expression.

Artists will work in real time, offering opportunities to observe, engage, and learn through demonstrations, storytelling, performance, and participation. From raranga, whakairo, to storytelling, spoken word, and waiata, Te Ao Toi celebrates the depth, diversity, and living nature of Māori creative practice.

The wānanga is free to attend. Whanau friendly.

Come and observe weavers and makers as they create incredible work.   Featuring Tracey Patete, Chris Gerretzen, Kohai Grace, Hinepuororangi Tahuparae and Neke Moa.

Sunday 12 July – Tuku Ora

Contemporary Māori expression through storytelling, spoken word, waiata, and a curated live programme. Includes a free community soup kitchen hosted by Māori Wardens.
