Watercolour for Beginners Workshop

Join artist and workshop facilitator Yon Yi Sohn to create a greeting card using basic watercolour painting techniques.

All materials are supplied.


What you will learn/practice

- wet on wet/ wet on dry/ gradated/ variegated washes

- use of masking fluid/ salt/ toothpicks for effects/ textures

- colour theory on colour wheel/ complementary vs analogous colours/ primary vs secondary colours/ warm vs cold colours

Tutor - Yon Yi Sohn
Yon Yi Sohn is a visual artist/ tutor. Yon Yi works with acrylic, watercolor, embroidery, wall drawings and installation. Yon Yi studied art and design at Hong Kong University, RMIT, Massey, Royal College of Art (MA Painting) and The Kings Foundation School of Traditional Arts, London.
